Frequency-Abstract Expressionist Painting is a a small abstract painting that was a happy mistake. I had left over paint and found this small piece of paper (or light card stock) and slapped some paint on it. Once I took the Catalyst wedge and started moving paint around, an image started to take form. I kept it loose and let the painting take me where it wanted to go. 
 
I believe abstract art makes us think harder in regards to how we may feel about a piece. Since you cannot immediately pinpoint a figure, the viewer has to go into the recesses of the subconscious and form a thought or an idea about what's in front of them.
